Lombok is quite easy however, as with the recent worldwide
downturn in tourism, airlines and ferries have cut back on
frequency. Below is summary of the options currently available
(we provide this information only to give you an idea of the
options available - be advised that scheduled services may
change without notice).
Please be advised that often visitors who staying in Bali who
wish visit Lombok and to arrange their own transport to Lombok
are told by the hotel staff or travel agent that the flights
or ferry is 'fully booked' or cancelled. Whenever we go away
it is nice to feel that we have a level of control
over what we plan on doing while there. When we may
have taken holidays in the past, perhaps staying in
Britannia Hotels in the UK or somewhere similar,
it was a rather different situation. When you are
far from home it is advisable to be as prepared as
possible.
Whilst, this may be true often it is not. (The hotel loses
money when you check out). First, call the airline direct and
or go straight to the airport. You will almost certainly get a
seat.

inter-island ferry for only
Rp.25, 000! - About two
dollar at today's exchange
rate. This ferry takes about
4 hours depending on the
ship, its load and tide.
